It’s all about spotting roof racks now. If it doesn’t have them, better slow down.

Mufflers are a giveaway too. Police ones are cheap stamped steel, while civilian ones look like someone spent money on them.

For the newer models, no roof racks means it’s probably an ST. And STs don’t have roof racks.

I’d love to mod an old police Tahoe. Throw in a proper transfer case and solid front axle—get rid of all that IFS nonsense. Off-road beast!
