It’s a 2020 I’ve changed it once before is there another step after changing the battery? I’m too tired for google if there’s an easy answer

I had the same issue. The battery I bought from Amazon was faulty. After replacing it with another new one, everything’s been fine. Looks like the first one was a dud.

Do you still have the other key fob near your car? I had the same issue after changing my battery myself. I took it to Ford, and the parts manager said that keeping the key fob near the car drains the battery faster because it constantly pings the fob. I kept my key ring and extra key in the kitchen cabinet, which is just on the other side of the wall from the garage. After moving them further away and replacing both batteries, the problem was fixed.

so you do still use cheap batteries???

if you have multimeter check voltage of battery. Lithium batteries can carry a little higher voltage and cause problems.
