Inquiring about different explorers

I’m a Ford truck guy and don’t know much about Explorers. I’m thinking about getting a decommissioned interceptor, preferably from 2020 or newer. What are the main differences between that and the ST? Is the ST turbocharged?

st is turbocharged. the piu can be a hybrid.

Here’s a simple breakdown of the 2020-2024 models:

Interceptor:

  • Column shifter
  • 3.3 V6 Hybrid with a 10-speed transmission (same as the Mustang)
  • 3.0 EcoBoost turbo V6 with a 10-speed
  • 3.3 V6 (non-turbo) with a 10-speed
  • ST Street Pack brakes and suspension (police tune), no red calipers, and no extra cost

Explorer:

  • Dial shifter
  • Paddle shifters
  • 3.3 Hybrid V6 with a 10-speed (less powerful than the Interceptor)
  • 2.3 EcoBoost turbo 4-cylinder with a 10-speed
  • 3.0 EcoBoost turbo V6 with a 10-speed
