Hey everyone!
My electric 3rd-row seat is stuck and won’t go down. I’m thinking of replacing it, but I need to figure out how to manually lower it so I can remove it. Any advice on how to get it down manually?

Ouch, no manual straps? That’ll definitely make things a bit trickier.

Nope, it’s fully electric, and now it’s just stuck in place.
I have a 2016 model. If you go under the front of the seat, check if the flat piece is still sitting in the slots. You should be able to see what I’m talking about once you’re under there. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right.
@Payton
Can you describe what the piece looks like?

It’s the piece that makes up the floor when the seats are stowed. Unfortunately, I don’t have a picture right now. If you move the other seats back to their seating position, you should be able to compare both sides and see what I mean.
@Payton
Got it, thanks! I’ll take a look.
I had a similar issue, so I just converted mine to manual.

How did you do that?

Mine got stuck as well but on the opposite side. I ended up removing the side panels, which was tricky in that position, and unbolted the entire seat assembly. Both seats come out together as one unit. Once I had them out, I took off the motors and related gears. I figured out which parts were needed to keep the seats safely locked in the upright position, then used a wire hanger to make a release for unstowing. To store them again, I use a flathead screwdriver to unlock the mechanism. Eventually, I plan to weld a small tab so I won’t need the screwdriver. All made up as I went along, but it works well!
