Looks really sharp! What kit did you use for the LED exterior lights? I’ve tried some in the past, but I kept getting error messages and the fast blinkers because they didn’t draw enough current. I read about needing extra transistors but gave up on it.

Thanks! I’ve always used eBay LEDs, specifically from a brand called Auxito. They’re cheap and work well for me. Never had issues with fast blinkers, but yeah, I’m still dealing with the error messages too. Working on fixing that.

I really like the two-tone color combo, and the headlights are looking good! :+1:

Thanks! I’m aiming for that OEM+ kind of look.

Got it off eBay for about $100. Thanks!

It’s got a cool vibe, I dig it. Stock headlights on these Explorers are pretty boring, so this is an upgrade for sure.

Thanks! I’m really happy with it so far.

Looks awesome! You should post a before picture too. Those stock headlights can get pretty rough as they age. Auxito bulbs have been great for me too.

Make sure the lights are aimed properly! Nothing worse than blinding people with misaligned aftermarket LEDs. Overall, it looks good. Not sure how I feel about the top LEDs, but hey, your car, your style!

Thanks! Yeah, I made sure they’re aimed correctly. I’m not totally sold on the placement of the light pods either though. Any suggestions? The wiring harness is pretty short.

They look a bit out of place where they are now. Maybe try mounting them in the gaps of the grille? The vertical spaces on either side might work better.

That’s a great idea! I’ve got a roof rack for my fishing rods, so I’ll try out different spots. Maybe even on the bumper. Thanks for the suggestion!

No problem! The bottom horizontal space could work too. Could look really slick there.

What year is your Explorer? I’d love to do something similar!

It’s a 2010 Eddie Bauer 4.0 4x4!

Just so you know, putting LED headlights in can be illegal depending on where you are. But if you’re just looking for compliments, alright, here’s a pat on the back!
