This really drives me nuts. Ford, why not spend a few more cents to make lug nuts that don’t suck? It’s not just me, right?
It’s not only Ford. Seems like every carmaker is cutting corners with these cheap lug nuts nowadays.

Exactly, it’s a problem across the board.

It feels like things just keep getting worse.

Corporations care more about cutting costs than making good products. It’s all about short-term profits now. The customer experience doesn’t seem to matter anymore.
The interceptor models have one-piece lug nuts. Maybe you just got a higher trim level with the cheaper ones?

Yeah, trying to get ahead of the issue this time. My Fusion’s lug nuts got me last year.
I could really use some new lug nuts myself.

One-piece chrome lugs don’t last much better after a few tire rotations, but at least they’re easier to deal with when removing them.
I drive a Ram, and trust me, it could be worse. Much worse.
Probably an issue with their supplier.
