Here’s a pic of the progress I’ve been making on my car lately. Feels good to get some hands-on work done.
There’s nothing like that feeling of hitting the road after fixing up your own car!

Totally agree! It’s almost addictive. I keep resisting the urge to rip out my progressive snapshot device and just drive like crazy!
Did you tackle the water pump too?

Yeah, I took care of that a couple of months ago along with the oil pump. I posted about it here before if you want the details.

How much did it cost? I’m thinking of doing the same for my 2011 Explorer 3.5L, which is at 190k miles. So far, I’ve just kept up with coolant flushes.
@Westley
I’ll have to dig up the receipt since I replaced it along with the timing chain and some other parts. But just for the water pump parts, you’re looking at a couple hundred dollars at least.
Why are your tires so small?

They’re the factory size for my model and year. I’ve thought about upgrading to 18s, but that’s a project for another time when I’ve got the budget.

What about your headlights? Is that TPU gloss medium tint?

Not sure. I ordered the whole headlight assembly online, and they came like that. Here’s the link if you’re interested: https://www.carid.com/spyder/black-factory-style-projector-headlights-mpn-hd-jh-fexp11-am-bk.html?singleid=1161233253
Only downside is they came with a different bulb style than I was expecting.
