That makes sense if you don’t need the size or features of the Explorer. The Q5 is a lot smaller, though.
SavageGeese’s review of the pre-refresh Explorer was brutal. Ford really seems to cut corners on a vehicle that should be one of their most important.
The Explorer is more about fleet sales and meeting police needs. It’s not really aiming to be a top-tier family SUV.
It’s still a big seller. They moved over 200K units last year, second only to the Highlander in this segment.
How are these for tuning? I’ve heard they respond well to aftermarket upgrades.
My wife had a 2020 ST. The engine was great, but the rest of the car was a disaster—infotainment issues, problems with the panoramic roof, and more. We ended up trading it in for an Audi.
I was looking forward to the 2025 model, but there are some real dealbreakers for me: no more Atlas Blue, forced sunroof, and HVAC controls on the screen. Looks like I’ll be sticking with my current ride.
Why did they mess up the front design? The outgoing model looked fine.
This looks pretty good. Ford seems to be stepping up their game.
