These are now on dealer lots and some have driven them home. Anyone have one at home yet?
Seems to have been getting good initial reviews.
Bought it, love it. Active Trim.

I just got a 2025 Platinum with the smaller engine. I had driven so many SUVs and wasn’t finding what I wanted. Never owned a Ford before.
So far, I really love it. I can see a few fit and finish things that aren’t perfect, but nothing major. I love the way it drives and the space and comfort inside. I’m also happy with how high up I sit in it. Did I mention the comfort of the seats?
We are looking forward to taking a trip in it soon and get a real feel for it!
@Reese
I have had the 2025 Active for a month now and will concur with your short review. Got very tired of Toyota dealers lamenting about “shortages of vehicles” and why they needed to charge above MSRP. Honestly, it drives as nicely as the Highlander, and I’ve owned two of them. So far, loving it as well. As you point out, fit and finish could be better in some areas, but I can easily live with it.
It’s basically the 2024 (which was a 2023), but with Sync 4. There really haven’t been any major changes besides trim and options since 2020.

Interior looks much better and more modern to me. I also like that the tow hitch is now standard.

Yeah, mainly cosmetic. What I’ve seen so far, the dash has been rearranged a little to accommodate the new (wider) screen. Getting rid of that tall premium display from the 2020-2024 models. There’s the wrap-around taillight that goes across the rear gate. The trailer hitch is now standard. Then, of course, there’s the new grill. This feature makes me appreciate my 2023 grill.
@Zeke
I think the new front end is the weakest part of the redesign.

I was expecting something more exciting too, but in fairness, it looks pretty good in real life. Just doesn’t photograph particularly well.

Not Sync 4… Google!

And it’s smooth as can be. Wish it didn’t have so much dead space on the screen though. It came loaded with Google Podcasts, though… I laughed. First update removed it!

I picked up a 2025 ST yesterday, my third after a 2020 and a 2021. The 2025s are a refresh and no longer have Ford Sync. The interior, grille, and rear are updated designs. It has different turbos, and the transmission shifts much better. The new display with Google’s OS is much better. The seats are more comfortable. The interior feels cheaper and more plain in other areas. The digital instrument cluster is a total letdown compared to the 2020-2024 STs.
@Jaden
Does Apple run on it?

Yeah, all the plays are still there, but Google is the main interface so you can use the Play Store to download apps directly.
@Jaden
Disagree on the digital instrument cluster. Also, adaptive cruise control is significantly improved and no longer slows down for cars half a football field ahead.

It’s not all new, but there’s an upgraded transmission, the AWD trim apparently now has an actual transfer case, and the infotainment is probably the most extensible on the market besides Tesla’s.
Why does 2025 sound like a fiction year?
I have one. It’s an amazing vehicle. Ford guy my whole life, this is one quick and nimble vehicle.

3.0L V6 @ 400hp
Nobody mentioning BlueCruise?? Complete hands-free driving in mapped areas. So comfy, pretty sturdy. I love everything about mine so far.
