Seems like a lot for a replacement. What you think? Should I take it elsewhere? Seems like too much work for me to do myself.
That’s is a decent price
What area was this quoted in? I have heard it can be expensive overall
Horrible engineering
Mine was almost 3k 2 years ago. I’m sure that’s a decent price for today but wow.
OP, are you doing this preemptively?

Thought I’d ask since I have a 2015 XLT lol and all I hear in here is everyone complaining about it. I know it’s a skewed pov but still, good to see others perspective

Pretty normal, not bad actually.
I paid 2400
I paid about $2500 for mine a couple of years ago. Hell I thought the $200 they charged me for spark plugs was expensive. lol

As of late I’m buying the parts on Amazon and I’m usually saving about 1/2 of what they are charging. They wanted $1600 for upper control arms and struts. I paid about $220 for the parts and labor was like $650.
Make sure they use Ford parts for that price.
Depends on the area i had one done not to long after i bought my 16 sport and it was only 2400ish same shop i took my piu to.
That’s reasonable
Normal, may be worth it to just do the timing chain while you’re in there imo
