I get it. Back in 2002, a fully loaded F-150 was around $30k, which would be about $50k today. But now, loaded F-150s are hitting $70-85k. It’s ridiculous.
A 2022 truck is basically alien tech compared to a 2002 model.

@Dylan
Not really. It’s mostly just cameras, touchscreens, and sensors. A 2002 F-150 has way more in common with a 2022 than it does with something from 1982.
Car prices will drop soon. Lots of people are underwater on their loans.

That’s not how this works.

We’re already seeing it in the used market.
@Ridley
Yeah, but new cars will just keep getting more expensive.

True, but those crazy market adjustments like $5,000 or $7,500 markups will disappear.

Honestly, $61k is pretty reasonable for an Explorer ST.
@Will
Dude, it’s an Explorer. Ford is charging way too much for it.
Explorer ST here in Europe is €80k. Insane pricing for a car like this.
They start at $51k. My sales manager got one for his wife and paid $40k with trade-in and discounts.
My 2013 Explorer Limited was $50k new. $61k for an ST now doesn’t seem too crazy.
2020+ Explorers are some of the worst cars Ford has ever made.
We were an ‘Expedition family’ until they dropped the V8. My fully loaded 1997 Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD with a sunroof was $19.5k. My 2008 Expedition EL Limited was $35k. If I could find another like it, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
