I wasn’t a fan of my Bridgestone Duelers, but since 2023 I’ve been running Nexen Roadian HTX2s. Really loving them so far, especially the chunkier sidewall. They’ve been fantastic in the snow here in Ohio and Connecticut. Just curious—what tires do you guys use and recommend?
I’m running BF Goodrich KO3 tires.
I’ve had Nexen Winguard Sport 2s on for three years now. They’re winter-rated like Blizzaks, but I’ve been lazy and haven’t switched them out. They’ve held up surprisingly well.
I’ve got Michelin Defender all-season tires. I’ve got some…strong feelings…about using A/T tires in normal (non-winter) weather.
But honestly, putting these on made my car feel like it was brand new.
On my Mark 5, I’m planning to switch to Michelin CrossClimate 2s. I already have them on my Escape, and they’re amazing.

Right now, I’ve got Hankook Dynapro HPT2s. Wouldn’t recommend them if you’re going off paved roads. As soon as I hit anything off asphalt, it’s all up to the 4WD because the tread is useless.
I actually like the Bridgestone Dueler A/T tires. I’m in southern Alberta, and they’re great in snow and ice. Everyone drives differently, though. I’ve got Toyo AT3s on my pickup, and I hate them. Even an inch of snow makes me rely on 4WD to get through.

You know, maybe I was a bit too harsh on the Duelers. Thinking back, they did handle snow really well. Toyo tires seem awful in snow, though. My dad has them on his 2017 Acadia (Celsius Sport, 3PMSF rated), and he once got stuck on a flat driveway. Had to dig it out. But to be fair, that car has always handled terribly.
