The SRT is fun, but the standard Pentastar or Hemi Durangos are solid. They’re really nice vehicles.
If you’re set on the Explorer, keep in mind the ST comes with captain’s chairs in the second row, which isn’t ideal for car seats if you have more kids later. You might want to check out other trims or even a Durango.
Actually, I think captain’s chairs are better for kids—you can walk through to the third row instead of folding down seats.
