New tires and MPG drop... anyone else noticed?

So I swapped to some 265/50r20 Bridgestone Duelers and noticed a 2 MPG loss… is that normal?

Same thing happens in my 2014 model. I’m surprised they haven’t figured out how to improve fuel efficiency over the past 10 years.

I get about 15mpg in my '99. Honestly, there’s no reason I should be getting more than you guys lol

My 2014 gets at least 16-18 mpg. What tires are you running?

My 2021 XLT gets 27-29 mpg

Is it 2wd? My 4wd limited gets 23-24 on the highway with the 2.3 Ecoboost, in Eco mode. In town, it gets 21-22 if the car’s battery has enough juice for start-stop, otherwise it’s around 19-20.

@Om
That’s awesome :ok_hand: I might need to rethink my driving habits :joy:

That’s crazy. I really have to drive hard to get below 19mpg on my 2013 NA 3.5 lol

Mine’s a 2016 Ecoboost V6

They switched to winter blend fuel here and I lost 4 mpg with the same tires.
