Hey everyone, I just bought a 2019 XLT, and I’m loving it so far. Wanted to share and maybe get some advice on what to keep an eye on with this model.
Congratulations! I’ve had a 2019 for a while now, and it’s been great.

Thanks! My wife loves it too—turns out it was built on her birthday. What are the odds?

Are there any specific issues I should be looking out for?

The water pump is internal, so keep an eye on it. If it goes out, it can cause serious damage if not repaired quickly. I haven’t had this issue, but it’s something to be aware of.
@Ainsley
Good to know, thanks! I did get a 5-year/60k mile warranty with a $100 deductible that covers almost everything. Plus, it’s a one-owner, CPO-certified vehicle.

If it’s AWD, watch out for the PTU (Power Transfer Unit). The exhaust runs under it and can cause the gear oil to burn up. You’ll know it’s bad when you smell burning gear oil. Repairs can run over $3,000.
@Yan
Luckily, mine is FWD, but wow, that’s an expensive repair!
If you don’t mind me asking, what did you pay for it?

That’s a sweet ride!

Thanks! Still on day one, but loving it so far.
Congrats on the new ride! Looks awesome.
Looks identical to my 2019 XLT—same color, too! I’ve got 323,000 miles on mine, and it’s still going strong with the 3.5L engine.

Wow, how did you rack up so many miles so quickly?
