How much extra would the ST Line cost to lease compared to the Active?

So I just leased a 2025 Active, fully loaded in vapor blue. Put down $3k and my payment is $495 a month. But now I’m getting a bit of buyer’s remorse—I didn’t even ask how much extra it would have been to go for the ST Line. It seems like the ST Line is mostly cosmetic, so it might not have been out of my budget. If we’re talking just $20-30 more a month, I’m kicking myself for not checking!

I call the ST Line the ‘fake ST’ because it’s really just looks, and it only comes with cloth seats, which would be a no-go for me. I’m guessing you’ve got the pleather seats in the Active, right?

Yeah, the Active has the ‘leather’ seats. I know the ST Line is mostly for show, but every time I see that black grille, I can’t help but feel like I should’ve gone for it!

@Zayn
The black grille does look good on this body style, I’ll give you that. But honestly, a fully loaded Active is nicer than the ST Line, in my opinion. I’m waiting for the 2026 model to see if they add more color options and iron out any 2025 issues. Right now, I drive a 2022 XLT with the SAP package, and I just can’t do chrome.

That’s a question for your dealer.

I asked, and the dealer said it’d probably be around $60-100 more a month, but I think he was just giving me a number to make me feel better. If it was only a few bucks extra, I’d be kicking myself even harder.

Mine was $49,900, and the ST Line is about $4k more. Wondering how that $4k difference would translate to monthly lease payments :thinking:

@Zayn
It depends on your lease term and interest rate (money factor). Don’t forget a higher cost would mean slightly higher tax too.

@Zayn
If you break it down, $4,000 divided over a 36-month lease (assuming 3 years) would be about $111 more per month, before interest and tax.

But since it’s a lease, wouldn’t I only pay a portion of that $4k over the term, not the full amount? :thinking:

@Zayn
You’re correct! It’s based on the difference between the initial price and the residual value, plus interest and tax. Rough estimate: maybe around $70 extra per month for a 3-year lease.

It really depends on where you are, but it could be as low as $40 every two weeks.

I’ve never heard anyone quote lease prices bi-weekly. Just curious, why phrase it like that? So, that’d mean about $80 more a month?

@Zayn
That’s just the standard way in some places. Even the first quote sites I use default to bi-weekly. But yeah, roughly $80 more per month.

Interesting! Thanks for explaining.
