I recently bought a 2025 Active with no additional options except 4WD, and I’m loving it. It’s well-equipped even without the extras.
The technology is impressive, the interior feels premium, and there’s a ton of space. We took it on a road trip over the long weekend, and it was perfect—plenty of room for the kids and all our stuff.
It drives great and has plenty of power. Highly recommend it if you’re considering one.

What’s the difference between the Active and the ST-Line? Any differences in engine options? I have a 2017 3.5 NA and just got the water pump replaced. Thinking about trading in a year or so.

No difference in engine options unless you go for the ST or Platinum trim.
The ST-Line does have a 360 camera and a wireless charger, which I wish mine had. There are probably other differences, but I didn’t seriously consider the ST-Line, so I’m not sure.
What kind of mileage are you getting so far? I’m heading to the dealer this Saturday to finalize a deal on the Platinum trim.

I also bought a 2025 Active back in August, and I love everything you mentioned. I replaced a 2021 Hybrid Limited with it.
I’ve had a few minor issues like the center display freezing (three times so far) and a random ‘service now’ light that cleared itself. I also noticed a burning oil smell when the engine would stop at traffic lights, but it went away after about 1,500 miles.
Even with those minor annoyances, I’m really happy with it. It’s my seventh Ford, and it probably won’t be my last.
