Anyone Else Seen Service Vehicle Soon?

I have a '25 Active with 218 miles on it. Bought it on Saturday, and now I’m getting a ‘service vehicle soon’ message on the dash, but nothing on the app.

The dealership says they’ll pick it up, but I’m feeling a bit uneasy. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I’m also going to check my sales contract to see if there’s any grace period. I love the car so far, but now I’m worried about what might happen after mile 36,001 or 60,001.

It’s pretty common for brand-new vehicles to have some early hiccups. Let the dealership handle it, they might be able to fix it quickly. I’ve got a 2020 model, and it took a couple of years of updates before it felt totally reliable.

Did you check the error codes?

I don’t have a scanner. The dealership said they’d pick it up… just waiting for them to call me back.

Same thing happened to me today. Got a wrench symbol on the dash, and the app says something’s up with the powertrain. Super inconvenient since I’m starting a road trip tomorrow and need the car.

That’s exactly what happened to me! The powertrain/reduced power message popped up in the app about an hour later, saying it happened earlier. Is yours a '25 model too?

@Harlan
Yep, same model.

Had the same issue here. They told me it was a software glitch and fixed it. I’ve got a '25 Active too.

@Mal
Appreciate the info! How long did it take for them to figure it out and fix it?

I had something similar. On the second day, the check engine light came on for a bad emissions sensor. Took it in, and they fixed it, but then my Active randomly shut off a couple of times, showing a low fuel pressure warning even though I had over half a tank. It happened twice in one week, and one time, the RPMs dropped from 1.7k to 600, then up to 1k, down to 300, and finally to 0. The dealership checked it but didn’t find anything. Haven’t had the problem since then though.

Honestly, if you love the car, just get an extended warranty for peace of mind. If not, maybe trade it in for something like a Toyota Highlander.
