2022 or 2025 Explorer… Which One Makes More Sense?

$34K feels high for the 2022. Where are you located? I just bought a 2022 Limited with 40K miles for $26K, no extra fees.

I’m in Michigan. The 2022 blue books around $32K. $34K is the out-the-door price.

If you drive at night a lot, adaptive cruise control and lane centering are lifesavers. The money you save on a base trim gets eaten up by adding features later. If you go for the ST-Line, you get the hardware for hands-free BlueCruise, too.

This whole process has spiraled way beyond where I started. Originally wanted something used for $20K–$25K, now looking at possibly spending $44K. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

What options does the 2022 have? Leather means it probably has the 202A package. Moonroof? Co-Pilot 360+ (adaptive cruise)? I’d check KBB or Edmunds with the VIN and options because you might be overpaying a few grand.

That extra $10K for a brand-new one with a full warranty is tempting, though.
