Highly considering purchasing a 2018 Ford Explorer with 110,000 miles for $12,000 for my wife curious if anyone could kindly provide some insight with your experiences, thanks!
I loved my Explorers; I’ve had three. I just traded my 2022 for a Bronco. I always had issues with the cameras, but I think they’ve fixed it now. Great gas mileage and nice vehicles overall. My 2014 had transmission issues from the factory, but my other two were fine. The price seems a bit high to me—I’d aim closer to $10,000 since it has over 100k miles. I sold my 2014 at 180k, and it’s still running locally!

They sure look comfy! It’s between the 2019 Explorer and 2018 VW Atlas for us. But I feel the Atlas hasn’t been around long enough to know its lifespan.

I wanted a VW for a while, but I’ve heard repairs can be expensive, and not many places work on them. I’m a big Ford fan (and I have a buddy who works there), so I’m kind of ride or die .

That’s a huge point—thank you! Also, I have an Expedition with 300k that runs like new, so I get it.
My husband’s dad still drives his old Ford truck with 280k miles instead of his newer one. We joke about it, but honestly, it’s reliable. Though, when he had a new vehicle, he made everyone take their shoes off and put them in the bed!
